* En 2009 el Ministerio de Industrias y Productividad, a través de la Subsecretaría de Competencia, fue designado por como autoridad investigadora y sancionadora en materia de competencia.

 

* Pese a que el gobierno tiene la intención de promulgar una ley de competencia, ésta ya no sería urgente, pues las normas sobre competencia de la Comunidad Andina son aplicables para asuntos internos del Ecuador.

 

* Regular las conductas anticompetitivas beneficiará a los consumidores, al sector productivo y a la economía ecuatoriana.

ANALYTICA NAMED TO LIST OF TOP 100 COMPANIES OF 2010 BY WORLD FINANCE MAGAZINE

The Ecuador-based investment bank, Analytica, has been named among the world’s 100 top companies of 2010 by the prestigious British magazine, World Finance, which officially launched the list at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland last month.

 Inclusion in the World Finance 100 list of top companies for 2010 puts Analytica alongside such organizations as Apple, BMW, ING Group, JP Morgan Chase, Coca-Cola, and Toyota. No other company from the Andean region was so honored and, from Latin America, only companies from Brazil and Mexico made the list.
